DAM SchaumainkaiSince 2007, the DAM Prize for Architecture has been awarded annually to outstanding buildings in Germany. In 2021, the prize will be awarded by the German Architecture Museum (DAM) for the fifth time – in close cooperation with JUNG as a cooperation partner – in a staggered jury procedure.

DAM SchaumainkaiENERGIEBROKER identifiziert Schnittstellen-Standards und Lösungsansätze für dezentrale Energiesysteme und bereitet diese vor. Auf Basis eigens entwickelter Soft- und Hardware-Demonstratoren werden die Schnittstellen-Standards im Dialog mit interessierten Partnern aus Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Politik zu einem praxisgerechten Standard für den vollautomatischen regionalen Handel kleiner Mengen erneuerbarer Energie erprobt.
DIE SALONS DER REPUBLIK – Räume für Debatten
DAM SchaumainkaiSchwindende Dialogfähigkeit prägt das politische Klima dieser Jahre in einem Maße, dass demokratische Praktiken zunehmend unter Druck geraten. Um dem Trend zum Rückzug ins „Selbstbestätigungsmilieu“ (Bernhard Pörksen) entgegenzuwirken, bedarf es neuer Räume, deren Atmosphären Debatten nicht nur dulden, sondern stimulieren und kultivieren.
Radical Antiquity Heinz Bienefeld’s Villas and Churches
DAM SchaumainkaiAbove all in the Rhineland in Central Germany, Krefeld native Heinz Bienefeld (1926–1995) designed and realized numerous ecclesiastical buildings and residential buildings over a period spanning some 40 years. It is not easy to categorize the style of his architecture, which alternates between the classicism of a Palladio and the contemporary modern.
The Urban in the Periphery EAP architekturbild 2021
DAM SchaumainkaiThe European Architectural Photography Prize architekturbild has been awarded every two years since 1995. Since 2003, the award has been bestowed by architekturbild e.v., since 2008 in cooperation with DAM, and since 2016 with a third partner, the Bundesstiftung Baukultur. The competition focuses on the built environment and its photographic and artistic exploration, and always has a predefined motto.

DAM SchaumainkaiIm Sommer 2020 schlugen die Wellen hoch um den Frankfurter Mainkai: Der Stadtraum entlang der Altstadt wurde – nach einem Jahr der Autofreiheit – wieder für den Straßenverkehr freigegeben. Das stieß auf geteiltes Echo.
