Digital Award Ceremony: DAM Preis 2022

The jury nominated four of the buildings as finalists for the DAM Preis 2022, then inspected the buildings themselves and ultimately chose the winning project. This project will be announced at the award ceremony on January 28, 2022.

Since 2007, the DAM Prize for Architecture has been awarded annually to outstanding buildings in Germany. In 2021, the prize will be awarded by the German Architecture Museum (DAM) for the fifth time – in close cooperation with JUNG as a cooperation partner – in a staggered jury procedure.

This year, 34 projects from 13 countries were nominated for the International High-Rise Award. In a similar way to the situation two years ago, a considerable decline in high-rises completed was to be observed. In many countries, delays
occurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, along with both the associated supply chain problems and labor shortages. Nevertheless, as in previous years, it was still the case that nowhere in the world were as many high-rises erected as in China.

In 2023 the first prize has been awarded to Nicole Keller & Oliver Schumacher from Hamburg.

DAM On Tour in Berlin: Bauwelt-Preis 2023 – Das erste Haus

Zum zwölften Mal verlieh die Architekturzeitschrift Bauwelt den Bauwelt-Preis „Das erste Haus“ — in diesem Jahr gemeinsam mit dem Deutschen Architekturmuseum (DAM) und der Firma Kingspan. Aus 130 Einreichungen kürte die Jury sechs Erstlingswerke: Vom Umbauprojekt aus wiederverwerteten Baumaterialien über temporäre Interventionen bis zum Wohnungsbau, von der nachhaltigen Gestaltung eines öffentlichen Raums bis zum Bürogebäude.
