DAM On Tour in Bad Aibling: Die Neue Heimat (1950-1982)
B & O Parkhotel Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Straße 31, Bad AiblingDie Neue Heimat war der größte und bedeutendste nicht-staatliche Wohnungsbaukonzern im Europa der Nachkriegszeit. In einem Zeitraum von über dreißig Jahren hat das Gewerkschaftsunternehmen mehr als 400.000 Wohnungen geplant und ausgeführt. Die Projekte der Neuen Heimat sind sowohl Ergebnis eines einzigartigen Zusammenspiels von wirtschaftlichen Interessen und Politik, als auch Ausdruck und Spiegelbild der bundesdeutschen Sozialgeschichte.

Hauptwache FrankfurtIm Spätsommer und Herbst 2022 verwandelt sich die Frankfurter Innenstadt erneut in ein Reallabor – Damit startet das Deutsche Architektur Museum (DAM) nach einem gelungenen Aktionstag im September 2021, sein jüngstes Forschungsprojekt. Wir wollen mit Eurer Hilfe herausfinden, wie die Innenstadt in einen lebenswerten Raum verwandelt werden könnte. Die Hauptwache dient Euch während dieser Zeit als ganz persönliches Versuchslabor.
DAM on Tour: SOS BRUTALISM – Save the Concrete Monsters!
Yale School of Architecture Gallery 180 York Street, Second Floor, New Haven, CTIn the Fall 2022 semester, the Yale School of Architecture Gallery will host a traveling exhibition that began at the DAM (German Architecture Museum) in Frankfurt am Main in 2017. The exhibition represents a selection from the first-ever global survey of the Brutalist architecture of the 1950s to the 1970s. The website sosbrutalism.com now covers over 2180 buildings.

Das DAM zu Gast im Museum Angewandte Kunst Frankfurt am Main Schaumainkai 17, Frankfurt am MainThis year, 34 projects from 13 countries were nominated for the International High-Rise Award. In a similar way to the situation two years ago, a considerable decline in high-rises completed was to be observed. In many countries, delays
occurred as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, along with both the associated supply chain problems and labor shortages. Nevertheless, as in previous years, it was still the case that nowhere in the world were as many high-rises erected as in China.
