The presentation of entries to the 2022 DAM Prize showcases current architecture from Germany and notable projects by German architecture practices in other countries. From a longlist of over 100 buildings completed between fall 2019 and spring 2021, for the show a jury has selected 23 building ensembles in Germany and three examples abroad.

Residential buildings, new forms of living, innovative working worlds, public spaces designed for people – these are all important architectural tasks and the exhibition shows exemplary contemporary architectural solutions for each of them. The bandwidth ranges from different office worlds of large corporations via highly imaginative new buildings and conversions, the reality check for research projects, buildings for public and education through to impressive examples for making space more attractive both in a small community and in a large city. The jury nominated four of the buildings as finalists for the DAM Preis 2022, then inspected the buildings themselves and ultimately chose the winning project “Genossenschaftliches Wohnhaus San Riemo” in Munich.

In 2022, the prize has been awarded by the Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) for the sixth time in close cooperation with our partner JUNG.
