Supporting friends. Gladly.
We support what is close to our hearts: outstanding architecture. The Society of Friends of the German Architecture Museum (DAM) has been supporting the DAM since 1985. As a supporting association, it helps to facilitate exhibitions, acquisitions for the collection, publications and events, and to strengthen architectural discourse beyond Frankfurt. Can we count on your support too?
What we support in practical terms
High-quality exhibitions and accompanying programmes make a significant contribution to the international reputation of the German Architecture Museum. Equally important are carefully designed exhibition catalogues and children’s books on the subject of architecture.
The Friends of the DAM provide financial support for these projects and also help to expand the museum’s collection – for example, through the acquisition of estates, drawings and models.
The Friends of DAM recently supported these exhibitions and projects:

Supporting kids.
Learning how to experience architecture. An appreciation of aesthetics begins to develop in early childhood. That is why the DAM offers a wide-ranging museum education programme for children of all ages: from workshops and project days in schools, through intercultural exchanges between nature, culture and architecture, to themed tours of the museum.
The professional development of educators is also a key component of our work with young people. We provide strong support for these activities – because our aim is both to spark an interest in architecture and to lay the foundations so that children can later, as adults, engage competently with the built environment.
Books for kids are also among the projects we support:
ÜBERSPANNEND — Frankfurter Brücken für Kinder
Welche ist die längste Brücke in Frankfurt? Und wie halten so lange Brücken überhaupt? Welche ist die älteste Brücke in Frankfurt? ...
