    The Research Training Group focuses on research projects that examine the interplay between architectural production and social processes. How do built or planned structures shape (public) spaces and social dynamics? How do social processes and discourses materialize in architecture? And how does this affect society? This approach is based on a broad understanding of the concept of architecture, which includes not only individual buildings, but also urban ensembles and infrastructures.

    This lecture series brings the question of housing into prominence. Not only does it aim to look at the role of architects, but also and mostly, it explores the various ways in which contemporary housing practices have been built, thematized, debated and mediated. It moreover calls for a multi-lenses approach, which covers from questions of intersectionality, human rights and environment.
