\nDie Frankfurter Paulskirche \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Weitere Ausstellungen\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n PAULSKIRCHE. He suggests that we need to understand these cultural flows across geo-political boundaries through the five dimensions of ethnoscapes\, technoscapes\, financescapes\, mediascapes\, and ideoscapes. Following this framework\, we can then also understand that the production\, consumption\, and mediation of architecture are embedded within the ever-dynamic currents of movement that could never be limited to just one idea of territory.  Thus\, we can think of architecture as not simply emerging from a single nation or country but instead as a confluence of cultural exchanges occurring across time and space. \nThree interlocking themes emerge from this reconceptualization of Filipino Architecture. First\, “People as Network” presents architecture and the built environment as emerging from the imagination\, experience\, and engagement with people. In this sense\, we understand architecture through the Filipino architects\, collaborators\, clients\, communities\, mentors\, educational lineages\, and the diaspora of the Filipino people across the world.  Second\, “Places as Flux” highlights the built environment as fundamentally grounded in places. Under such conception\, an idea of place can cover a multitude of aspects of architecture\, such as the site context\, tropical climate\, geological\, geography\, culture\, history\, and placemaking. Third\, “Process as Flows” acknowledges the decision-making processes involved in the production and consumption of architecture through materials\, construction\, participatory methods\, community engagement\, heritage conservation\, and the socio-political context. \nAs contemporary Filipino architecture emerges from the dynamic crosscurrents and interplay between people\, places\, and processes\, it would also need to transform dynamically in the future.  This exhibition invites everyone to ask more questions as we imagine things to come: How will the projected population growth impact Filipino architecture in the future? How will the challenges of climate change transform the way we design our built environment? What kind of new processes will emerge in the making of Filipino architecture? It is only by accepting that change is inevitable in Filipino Architecture that we can achieve its potential as a contributor to the global discourse and production of the built environment. \nExhibition catalogue available for download \nEdson Cabalfin\, Patrick Kasingsing\, Peter Cachola Schmal (Curatorial Team) \n \n \n \n \n \n Impressions of the exbibition\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n SULOG – Filipino Architecture at the Crosscurrents\nPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Accompanying Programme\n\n \n \n \n \n \n There are no upcoming Veranstaltungen.

But before the Danish company conquered the international market there were hundreds of firms that from about 1880 onwards produced a variety of construction kits. The DAM has the unique opportunity to draw on the private collection of architectural construction kits by graphic designer Claus Krieger to realize an exhibition that will break through the “glass barrier” that typically divides exhibits (for conservational reasons) from the visitors. They will be able to play and develop new buildings at about eight play stations integrated centrally into the exhibition. \nProf. Andreas Kretzer from the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences (HFT) and his students have recreated the precious original building blocks of the Ingenius\, Bâtiss and Skyline boxes on an enlarged scale to make them “playable”. Moreover\, bricks from the Minibrix\, Tetek\, and Dusyma systems as well as the “Little Large Block Builder” from GDR production await all those who enjoy constructing. It is also possible to immerse yourself in a virtual model world using VR glasses\, programmed by students of Prof. Philipp Reinfeld\, also HFT. The exhibition presents a total ca. 60 construction kits\, which are also featured in an extensive catalog. FL \nSince its foundation 40 years ago\, the Society of Friends of Deutsches Architekturmuseums (DAM) has been helping expand the museum’s collection – by acting as an intermediary\, by acquisitions and donations of plans\, drawing\, photographs\, models\, and books. On the occasion of its 40th anniversary\, the exhibition “Out of Storage” for the first time brings together all the archived materials that have become part of the DAM collection thanks to the efforts of the Society of Friends“. Over 130 exhibits from different decades in the 20th and 21st centuries will be on display – including works by renowned international architects such as Archigram\, Future Systems\, Bruce Goff\, Hans Poelzig\, and Hans Scharoun. At the same time\, the exhibition will invite visitors to reflect on collecting architecture\, namely on the role of archives\, on issues of access to the items and their storage\, and on the importance today of architecture museums as knowledge and education spaces. \nThe title “Out of Storage” was chosen for its ambiguity: It should be read first as an appeal to render the items in the collection supported by the Society of Friends publicly visible and second as a reference to the logistical challenges of ever larger archives in which a large part of what is collected remains invisible and can only rarely be exhibited. The presentation will be supplemented by the voices of international curators and collection directors\, e.g.\, from the Museum of Modern Art or the Korean Museum of Urbanism and Architecture that is currently being planned. In interviews\, these experts reflect on the potential archives offer not only as a storage medium but also as sources of stimuli for new knowledge and as a productive\, inspiring force within the discipline of architecture. \n \n \n \n \n \n Eindrücke von der Ausstellung\n \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n OUT OF STORAGEPhoto: Moritz Bernoully \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME\n\n \n \n \n \n \n There are no upcoming Veranstaltungen.

SUMMARY:DAM on Tour in Prag: PROTEST ARCHITEKTUR
DESCRIPTION:The Art of Activism\n10.12.2025 – 8.3.2026\nGHMP Knihovna\nMariánské náměstí 98/1\n110 00 Prague 1 – Staré Město\n \n\n\nCurator: Jitka Hlaváčková; Co-operation: Oliver Elser\, Megan Hoetger\, Barbara Holub\, Tamara Moyzes\, Vladimír Turner \n\n\n\nThe Art of Activism exhibition and publication explore a specific segment of protest and engaged art in the Czech Lands\, especially after 2009 (the global economic crisis) in the context of international movements such as Occupy Wall Street\, Black Lives Matter\, Me Too\, Women Life Freedom\, Fridays for Future\, Extinction Rebellion\, etc. In addition to reflecting on Czech individual and collective artistic activities\, significant space is devoted to foreign initiatives\, especially those that form the immediate political and inspirational context of the local art scene. \nThrough a range of documentary and other artistic media\, the project maps examples of “performative democracy” in the form of activist\, political and environmentally oriented projects\, as well as contemporary artistic practice in the field of social intervention and participatory strategies that contribute to deepening social resilience by supporting civic initiatives.

V.\, the team at Peter Grundmann Architekten used an above-average amount of manual labor and a modest (and adhered to!) budget to encase the former single-story hall in a lightweight steel and glass structure and add another floor. The rooms on all levels\, including the vaulted cellar and roof terrace\, can now be used flexibly. Architectural standards are being redefined or thrown overboard directly. \nIn 2026\, the award will be bestowed by Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM) for the tenth time in close cooperation with JUNG as its partner – as part of a phased jury process. \nThe Media Partner for the DAM Preis 2026 is STYLEPARK \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Prize Winner\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik\, Berlin\n PETER GRUNDMANN ARCHITEKTENFoto: Yizhi Wang \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik\, Berlin\n PETER GRUNDMANN ARCHITEKTENFoto: Yizhi Wang \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik\, Berlin\n PETER GRUNDMANN ARCHITEKTENFoto: Yizhi Wang \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik\, Berlin\n PETER GRUNDMANN ARCHITEKTENFoto: Yizhi Wang \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n ZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik\, Berlin\n PETER GRUNDMANN ARCHITEKTENFoto: Yizhi Wang \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Finalists of DAM Preis 2026\nARETZ DÜRR ARCHITEKTURWohnen F // 9\, Modulare Nachverdichtung\, Köln \nETAL.Das robuste Haus – Mehrgenerationenhaus Görzer Straße\, München \nHILD UND K ARCHITEKTENÜbernachtungsschutz mit medizinischer Einrichtung\, München \nPETER GRUNDMANN ARCHITEKTENZ/KU Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik\, Berlin \nPPAG ARCHITECTSDoppelschule Allee der Kosmonauten\, Berlin \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Buildings on Show\nARETZ DÜRR ARCHITEKTURWohnen F // 9\, Modulare Nachverdichtung\, Köln \nARETZ DÜRR ARCHITEKTURHalle S // 46 – Graf-Zeppelin-Halle\, Altenkirchen \nBARARCHITEKTENWohn- und Atelierhaus LW 42\, Berlin \nBÜRO VOIGTTheaterwerkstätten und Fundus Landestheater Eisenach \nECKER ARCHITEKTENNeckarschleuse Schwabenheim\, Dossenheim-Schwabenheim \nETAL.Das robuste Haus – Mehrgenerationenhaus Görzer Straße\, München \nFRIDA ARCHITEKTENVeranstaltungsgebäude im Walderlebniszentrum Leupoldishain\, Königstein \nGMP • ARCHITEKTEN VON GERKAN\, MARG UND PARTNERHyparschale\, Magdeburg \nHILD UND K ARCHITEKTENÜbernachtungsschutz mit medizinischer Einrichtung\, München \nLRO LEDERER RAGNARSDÓTTIR OEIGrundschule auf FRANKLIN\, Mannheim \nMAX HACKE & LEONHARD CLEMENSHinterhaus Prototyp 6x9m\, Berlin \nMODERSOHN & FREIESLEBEN ARCHITEKTENWohnen im Park – Betreutes Wohnen für Menschen mit Behinderung\, Berlin \nNBUNDM* ARCHITEKTENStadtteiltreff Augustin\, Ingolstadt \nPETER GRUNDMANN ARCHITEKTENZK/U Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik\, Berlin \nPETER ZIRKEL ARCHITEKTEN MIT NAUMANN WASSERKAMPF ARCHITEKTENMuseum Lützen 1632\, Lützen \nPPAG ARCHITECTSDoppelschule Allee der Kosmonauten\, Berlin \nSAUERBRUCH HUTTONFranklin Village\, Mannheim \nSCHLEICHER.RAGALLER ARCHITEKTENBetriebskindergarten\, Stuttgart-Weilimdorf \nSCHLICHT LAMPRECHT KERN ARCHITEKTENBürgerzentrum MittenIm\, Niederwerrn \nSTUDIOMOLTER / STADT-BAU GMBH REGENSBURGWohnhochhaus\, Regensburg \nWAECHTER + WAECHTER ARCHITEKTENInnovationsfabrik 2.0\, Heilbronn \nArchitektur Export\nBEHET BONDZIO LIN ARCHITEKTENW-Mission Headquarters\, Seongdong-gu\, Seoul\, Südkorea \nPETER HAIMERL . SUMMARY:(Zionist) Coloniality under (British) Colonialism The Architectural and Warfare Modernism of Yohanan (Eugene) Ratner in Mandatory Palestine
DESCRIPTION:(Zionist) Coloniality under (British) Colonialism\nThe Architectural and Warfare Modernism of Yohanan (Eugene) Ratner in Mandatory Palestine\n#3 of the Organizing Architectures Lecture Series on “Coloniality”\n4.2.2026\, 19 Uhr – 20:30 Uhr\nDAM Auditorium\nThe lecture will be held in English.\nFree admission\, no advance registration required. \nA Lecture by Prof. Dr. Alona Nitzan-Shiftan (Technion – Israel Institute of Technology Haifa) \nThe proposition to study coloniality as a modernist mode of organizing the ties between the terrain and its inhabitants allows us to set apart the act of settlement from the power of colonial rule. It thus provides a powerful theoretical tool to question the knowledge and expertise Zionists drew on to disperse civic and military settlement as a means of resisting and often undermining the colonial authority of the British Mandate (1922-1948). I address this tension by probing the architectural agency of Yohanan (Eugene) Ratner—an immensely influential and largely forgotten figure\, whose expertise and teaching simultaneously modernized the architecture and warfare of the Jewish population in Mandate Palestine. Trained as an architect in Germany and as a soldier in the Imperial Russian Army during W.W.I.\, in Palestine Ratner accepted a paid job as a formative Dean of the Technion’s architectural school\, while volunteering to organize and spatialize the military resistance of the Jewish population. \nI will argue that Ratner’s capacity to reciprocate between architecture and warfare is indebted to the foundation of both in the epistemology of German and Russian modernities. In architecture Ratner is credited with the transition from historicism to modernism in institutional building of “capital A” Architecture. But perhaps his greater influence is in the utilitarian architecture\, territorial strategies\, and organizational infrastructure that he devised through his non-paid job and have turned into a Zionist modus operandi. This rather invisible architectural-military oeuvre demonstrates how the nascent “forms of dominance” that Ratner envisioned nurtured a coloniality of power that predated rather than (or prior to) outlasting the formal end of European colonialism. \nAlona Nitzan-Shiftan is Professor of Architecture\, History and Theory\, currently a visiting professor at the GTA in ETH Zurich. She is a full professor at the Technion\, where she holds the Churchill Academic Chair and heads the Arenson Built Heritage Research Center. Her work on the politics of architecture and heritage\, inter and postwar architectural modernism\, and critical historiography has been sponsored by CASVA\, Getty/UCLA\, U of Michigan and U of Chicago. She served as the president of the European Architectural History Network\, and advanced design research as the first Chair of Architecture at the Technion. Her awards-winning book “Seizing Jerusalem: The Architectures of Unilateral Unification” was published by University of Minnesota Press in 2017. She is currently completing an edited volume\, “Erich Mendelsohn: Architecture of Dialogue” and writes the Israel volume of the “Modern Architectures in History” series by Reaktion Books. \nThis event is part of this year’s lecture series of the DFG Research Training Group “Organizing Architectures”. https://organizingarchitectures.org/ \nMembers of the Architektenkammer Hessen (AKH) can earn 2 credits points for participating.

SUMMARY:Exhibition Opening:THE CITY IS SPORTS CITIES IN MOTION: EUROPEAN PROJECTS AND EXAMPLES
DESCRIPTION:Exhibition Opening:THE CITY IS SPORTS CITIES IN MOTION: EUROPEAN PROJECTS AND EXAMPLES\nFriday\, February 20\,  2026\, 7 p.m. \nSpeakers\nANDREA JÜRGES\, Deputy director \  Deutsches Architekturmuseum (DAM)\nROLAND FRISCHKORN\, Chairman Sportkreis Frankfurt\nMARCUS GWECHENBERGER\, Deputy Mayor in Charge of Planning and Housing\, City of Frankfurt\nKAREN JUNG\, Curator of the exhibition \nSport and movement are important elements for an active life together and for peaceful coexistence in civic society. This trend is in evidence in cities everywhere: Public parks and open spaces are being transformed into temporary or permanent\nplaces for sports\, games\, and movement. The exhibition\, which started out as open-air stations in public space has now been expanded to present 12 projects already\nrealized in Europe and which innovatively integrate sports activities into the urban environment. They include downtown football pitches and riverside parks designed to enable a variety of diff erent sports through to schoolyards that offer games and sports facilities and\, in this way\, embrace the surrounding neighborhood. The spectrum of projects realized over the past 15 years ranges from re-designs and repurposing and the integration of new agendas through to minimal interventions in existing settings. \nVisitors to the exhibition can discover this for themselves as a sports and fitness playground: a mat area\, various calisthenics equipment\, a cross-cricket station\, and a bowling alley are available for everyone to use for a joint workout. In addition\, workshops and sporting events organized in cooperation with Sportkreis Frankfurt regularly bring the DAM into action — join in and be part of it!

This trend is in evidence in cities everywhere: Public parks and open spaces are being transformed into temporary or permanentplaces for sports\, games\, and movement. The exhibition\, which started out as open-air stations in public space has now been expanded to present 12 projects alreadyrealized in Europe and which innovatively integrate sports activities into the urban environment. \nAll visitors over the age of 18 who present a membership card from a Frankfurt sports club – together with photo ID (if the club card does not have a photo) – are eligible for the reduced admission price of €7. \nGuided tours: Every Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Accompanying program\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n After Work Führung DIE STADT IST DER SPORT\n \n \n 15. SUMMARY:DIE STADT + DIE CLUBS: Wie sich der Sound von Frankfurt über die Zeit verändert hat
DESCRIPTION:DIE STADT + DIE CLUBS: Wie sich der Sound von Frankfurt über die Zeit verändert hat\n4.
