For the first time ever, Deutsches Architekturmuseum has bestowed the 2009 DAM Architectural Book Award in five categories. The prize, organized in collaboration with the Frankfurt Book Fair, was presented to the winning publishing houses at an official ceremony in the Museum. The winners are:
Architecture monograph

The jury, comprising 11 architecture experts, photographers, editors, publishers and graphic designers and chaired by Peter Cachola Schmal, Director of Deutsches Architekturmuseum, highly commended for other works published by gta (Zurich, Switzerland), Niggli (Sulgen, Switzerland), Quart (Lucerne, Switzerland), Taschen (Colgne), and Walther König (Cologne). Sixty publishers from in and outside Germany submitted over 200 entries to this unique> architectural book award. The winning publishing houses each receive a certificate. The prizewinning books are on display at the Frankfurt Book Fair at the DAM stand (Hall 4.1, P 559).
